El fotógrafo y su modelo

A partir de hoy, 23 de Abril 2017, retomaré mi blog de fotografía Please, Don’t move en formato de “foto diaria”, recuperando la buena costumbre que adquirí cuando participaba activamente de lo que fue una magnífica red para compartir fotos, Blipfoto.

Espero sea de su interés.

Comienzo esta etapa con una imagen que hice ayer en la puerta de mi trabajo, donde un fotógrafo de origen eslavo fotografiaba a una modelo sentada en el café frente a mi tienda.

Please…don’t move! in Instagram

I started using the name  Please…don’t move! when I opened my page on Blipfoto few years ago.

Blipfoto gave me the opportunity to experiment and to develope something like a photographic style, thanks to the premises of the page, that indicated that the picture should be taken the same day that was shared. I confess that I really enjoy the challenge that lasted four years for me. However, the change that gave Blipfoto, being acquired by Polaroid, made me get away from that dear page and look for alternatives and i found the alternative in Instagram. This app allows me to do something similar to what I used to do in Blipfoto, with some differences, both for good and for bad. Instagram offers not only the possibility of sharing a photo taken on the same day, but also several pictures immediately and that has a certain charm. It has also forced me to immerse myself in the underworld of photography with smatphone that I had not practiced ever before.

Anyway, I fell that photography this way has somekind of  ephemeral life near to the liquid society that Z. Bahuman explain in their books. Trying  to scape of this liquid sense is why I share today a video with a portraits photographic series I have been done for a time. almost all the pictures had been taken in the train from home to work in Barcelona.

I would like to know what you think about this. Do you use Instagram? Do you like it? How do you use it? And Blipfoto. Do you know it? If so, Do you like their new format?

Hace un año.

Hace un año hubo elecciones en Venezuela. El candidato del oficialismo dominaba todas las instituciones y haciendo uso de ellas violó todas las normas constitucionales imaginables para ejercer como candidato de manera ilegal. No contento con ello, desoyó a la mitad del país que exigía un recuento ante la diferencia minúscula que arrojaban las cifras oficiales a su favor, comparadas a la mayúscula diferencia a favor de Capriles Radonski que arrojaban los exit polls. Igualmente, el sr. maduro faltó a su palabra al prometer el recuento de votos solicitados y además insinuó que las decisiones las tomaban otros y no él (“lo consultaré” dijo). A su vez, hace un año que Capriles Radonski dijo que lucharía cada voto y haría valer el derecho de los venezolanos, para que esa promesa se desvaneciera luego en que se yo que espíritu pacifista que le llevó a darle la mano al sr. maduro y llamarle sr. presidente. Para mi, ese fue el final del liderazgo de Capriles. Lo que no significa que pueda aceptar al sr. maduro como presidente legítimo de Venezuela. ¡De ninguna manera! La historia no podrá catalogarlo así, salvo que la sigan escribiendo ellos. ¡No lo permitamos!
Hace un año colgué esta foto en Blipfoto en la que decía que ante la expectativa de las elecciones en Venezuela, esta era la cara de incertidumbre que teníamos los venezolanos en aquel momento. Si esa cara ha variado, desgraciadamente ha sido para peor. Ahora tenemos cara de miedo, desazón, incertidumbre, hambre y luto. Es el legado del sr. maduro, actuando como un buen heredero de aquel paracaidista que en mala hora se apoderó del país..

My first 1000 pictures in Blipfoto

Yesterday I posted my picture nº 1000 in Blipfoto. I started three years ago with a daily photo project without thinking it would come this far. Today, taking a picture everyday and sharing in that community is part of my life. It is a really recommended experience.

I took the photo in Milan. It is a street-living-sculpture of a really loud baby that had the ability to really draw the attention of all passers-by.
