Barcelona World Race. Waiting for December 31

The Barcelona World Race is the first and only double-handed (two crew per boat), non-stop, round the world regatta. It is a lap of the globe starting and finishing in Barcelona (Spain). Few days ago the skippers, representing eight registered teams and two pre-registered crews, boarded the Fundació Navegació Oceànica Barcelona’s (FNOB) IMOCA 60 and paid a visit to the dockside of the Barcelona Port Vell’s Moll de Drassanes, at the foot of the Christopher Columbus statue, where they will tie up their yachts from the 7th of December and carry out final preparations ahead of the regatta start on the 31st of December.
I was invited to take some pictures of the ocassion in a small boat with the press people. Here are my pictures of that day.
If you want to know more about this high-performance racing boats, the INOCA 60, visit the site of Barcelona word Race.
