Weekly photo challenge: Between

Misunderstanding security!
In Venezuela, my country, people knows that if they don’t protect themselves from criminal underworld, nobody is going to do for you, even less government. So we had built high walls, thick doors, electric fences and surveillance cameras trying to protect ourselves. We have not understood that the more closed is our environment is less defensible.

I think that the only way to protect ourselves is to share the public space between all in an open and plural way. This photo was taken from a private open space (a school) towards the street. I’m surprised the blurring of what is seen through it.
What do you think about that?
