Good Friday procession in Barcelona

Good Friday Easter procession in Barcelona.

Yesterday, I walked beside hundreds of penitent of different Barcelona’s brotherhoods in the closing stages of the different processions that ended at the Cathedral of the city at 20pm. I confess I was late and I couldn’t participate from the begining. I really regretted that, partly because I lost the best hours of light to photograph this very moving ceremony. Anyway, I share with you some of the pictures of a memorable night.

  1. That was fantastic! You may have been a bit late catching up with the procession, but once you got there you were a busy photographer, working the crowd and the participants to give us a wonderful taste of Easter in Barcelona – like television, probably better than most of us would experience if we were there ourselves. 🙂
